Tahlil; On Weekend

My late aunt's tahlil was on Saturday. I went there with my mom and dad. No lil' sis and my sister, they have to finish up their assignment. It was never a good thing to procrastinate. Take note on that people.

Got there right after Isyak.

Oh, makanan dah siap. Yeap, food excites me. Spend too much time in the kitchen, and food gets me.

Diam sekejap, diam. Tahlil dah start. Baca Yasin. *Bismillahirahmanirrahim..*

My aunt is my mom's sister. My mom is the youngest. So there's one hick-up that i sorta got used to in my mom's side of family. Just to be clear, i'm a grandfather. I'm 'Tok Bilah', which is cool. I like it. So I can brag about zaman dulu-dulu. Macam para datuk buat kepada cucu.

" Atuk zaman muda-muda dulu...huiii..seorang petani yang berjaya dalam Farmville."

Yelah, nak cerita perang, atuk tak pernah berperang pulak.

Itulah sentimen-sentimen penipuan yang bole dibualkan kepada para cucu. Sebab my mom is the youngest, so the age different was kinda obvious. My cousin is a retiree, 3 kids..well, they are not 'kids'..adults. Married adults. So, you get story right there. Now I'm a grandpa! (-_-")

Haa, ini cucu atuk. Nama dia Nazrin. Kacak habis. First impression memang la nampak girly, tapi lelaki daa..rambut mayang mengurai. Huii..kasar dia ni, barbaric sikit. Kuat membuli dan sangat nakal.

Bukti dia nakal? Ini gambarnya. Tak suka manja-manja dia ni, which is cool. So nak tangkap gamba pon kena cekik dulu, supaya tak lari. Time senyap dia ialah time makan dan tidur. Time lain, active. Huiii..letih.

The tahlil were held for two nights.

Before I went back, on the second night, i drew few pictures of cartoon characters for the kids, my grandchildren to be exact. Uhuk-uhuk, terasa tua pulak..(-_-")

Drew few pics of Ben 10, Spiderman and whatnots. They loved it. So I'm gonna make sure I will draw a lot more for them.

Love the warm fuzzy feelings when i'm with family.

Al- Fatihah; To My Late Aunt.

My dear aunt passed away on Friday afternoon. May Allah bless her soul.

I got my mom text message after the Friday prayer. It came as a shock to me. My sister called me and we planned to head there after my lil' sis, Fana', finish her class.

It took me one an half hour just to fetch up my lil' sis. Traffic was bad, the weather was bad. Gloomy. Gloomy. Gloomy Friday. I traveled half of K.L for 2 hours, just to get to Gombak. Gotta wonder, why the heck so many people was driving at the same hour I decided to drive?? I know, I know. Most of us think of that silly question each and every time we got stucked in a traffic jam; which it would help if we have a loaf of bread. Bwahahaha! Hmm?? Jam..bread..? Get it? Owh, never mind.

My mom and dad left Kedah to K.L at 4 p.m and yet, they reached Gombak at 8 p.m..the same time we got there. Whoo..drop my water face. It took me 4 hours just to get there.

Got there and chilled out.

Familiar faces do give me the warm fuzzy feelings inside.

AL-FATIHAH.

Henshin!; Well, It's 'change' in Japanese.

Oh, it's Friday already.

Well, it has been a 'productive' week. Lil' work and lots of play. Yes, my plan of retiring by 30 will be actualized if i keep going like this.

C'mon Nabil! Move your tight butt,(yes, you heard it right. It's self appreciation. Or delusional. Whatever.) work hard. Focus dammit, focus.

One major thing, growing old is essential. But growing up is optional. I chose not to grow up.

What's with this picture? Well, it's a i-don't-wanna-grow-up thingy my friends and i did in Facebook. Change your profile picture with your favorite Kamen Rider pic. Mine was Kamen Rider The First. Yup, i got my nerdy Kamen Rider peeps on Facebook. Childish? Yes. Hey, what's a gentleman without being a lil' childish.

This is me on Facebook. My alter ego. Well, Gerard Butler is not believable to be my alter ego, so Kamen Rider is a lot easier, and easily accepted.(if i'm Gerard Butler, girls would literally boo me. Like seriously, BOO me.)

My week has been filled with spending time with my beloved friends from school and uni. It was fun. So much fun. 6 hours of Pro Evolution Soccer. 4 hours of watching soccer. 6 more hours playing Dota and Counter Strike. And catching up on my sleeps. Yeap, 'productive'.

Plus, movies and karaokeing with my girl besties.

And a whole lots of sleeps.

Whoa nelly, my resolution this year is earn 60k by end of 2010. Seems a bit off huh? Okey, i'll make it, i seriously can do it. Oh sheesh, World Cup..(T.T), this is a lot more challenging than I thought it would.

p/s: Watching Kamen Rider First: The Movie..what the heck am i doing?

Kisah Seorang Kawan; Kawan Baik.

Ini kisah seorang kawan. Kawan yang tak menilai apa-apa. Dah tahu segala baik buruk, segala kelemahan, segala kesilapan; tapi tetap jadi kawan yang terbaik.

Thank you Shikin, sebab mengepao aku hari tu. Memang cantik sekali, tidak sangka aku di'snook' sebegitu rupa. Hehe.

Kisahnya Shikin, ditikam dari belakang oleh kawan baik dia. Unexpectedly, to her and to me. Who could have thought, the best of friend would stab her back. She found out that her best friend talks behind her back, say things about her and simply leave her.

Her eyes got teary when she told me that. Left an aww and a WTF look on my face.

Wow, a best friend could really do that? What a bitch.

Her so called best friend couldn't back her up. Separated her from her other friends. Said bad thing about her family. Wow, that's bad. Shikin didn't know that her 'best friend' did that. Too bad, now she knows.

But hey, thanks for being my bestie Shikin. Had a lot of fun with you. Don't worry, I suck at being a bad friend.

p/s: Oh, nanti jom buang masa sama-sama lagi.

Soccer; Too Much Soccer.

I woke up in the morning, every morning, and sometimes at noon, or late in the evening; none of this matters. The point is, the first thing i did when i woke is i check Soccernet and Eurosports for sports news. Specifically, soccer. So i wanna list out the evidences that i watch too much soccer.

  1. I think soccer is better than sex. (It's not like i get lucky all the time.)
  2. I wanna name my sons Ibrahimovic, Daniel Alves, Rooney, Torres. I have the right. I'm their father.
  3. I will murder my sons if they don't play soccer. I will murder them if they suck at it. And i will definitely outcast them if they chose to be gay. I am your father, obey.
  4. They can only support Manchester United.
  5. They can choose to be stupid at school only if they are awesome in soccer.
  6. They have to play soccer in England. ( I already got everything planned for you, my sons.)
  7. I will choose World Cup over a friend's wedding. Sorry.
  8. I will cancel dates just to watch the games. No dates on games' night.
  9. I can seat at mamak for 4 hours just watching games. Done it every week. (Don't date me if you don't fancy soccer. Life will be miserable.)
  10. An idea of a perfect date for me? A girl and a Man.United's game to watch. Perfection!
  11. I can spend 3 hours on Soccernet and Fantasy Premier League.
Wow, i think it's great!

p/s: At least i'm doing something..(T.T)

This death metal rooster made me happy..XD

Not you?

Hmm...maybe just me then.

p/s: The simplest thing made me laugh.

Gandhi's Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing the World; Love This Shit.

It's 2010. If you feel like changing yourself, take Gandhi's fundamentals for references. Yeah, it helps. Quit bitchin' and live life.

1. Change yourself.
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world - that is the myth of the atomic age - as in being able to remake ourselves.”

2. You are in control.
“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”

3. Forgive and let it go.
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
“An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”

4. Without action you aren’t going anywhere.
“An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.”

5. Take care of this moment.
“I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following.”

6. Everyone is human.
“I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps.”
“It is unwise to be too sure of one’s own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.”

7. Persist.
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

8. See the good in people and help them.
“I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won’t presume to probe into the faults of others.”
“Man becomes great exactly in the degree in which he works for the welfare of his fellow-men.”
“I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”

9. Be congruent, be authentic, be your true self.
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
“Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.”

10. Continue to grow and evolve.
”Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position.”

Remember; Next Time, Remember.

Ok, me and my buddies planned to go to a pc fair yesterday. We went there, parked my car and we rushed in. It was held in a big ass place.

So we bought what we wanted. New LCD screen, new PC, new hardisks, new laptop, and my friend bought a huge new speaker for his desktop. Sure. Everything was fine. It was great. Everybody had a great time.

The time came when we had to go, but others are going as well. So, the wait for the elevator was kinda tiring. Plus, all the big thingy we’ve bought, it all became too tiring. And full of cursing. So we don’t wanna wait. We just swerved through the crowd and took the stairs to the parking lot.

Next question that were asked, ” Where did we parked the car? “

ROAAARRRRRR!!!

Then we have to spend the next hour looking for my car. With all the big things we bought and we have to carry it around the parking, the big ass wide parking lot. IT WAS FUNNN!!!! ROARRRR!!!

Next time! Remember we you parked your car!!!

It was one friggin’ hour!!

p/s: Roooaaarrrr!!!!

Strength; That's It.

Strength.

We need it to survive, need it to get through the day. The funny thing is some people have all the strength in the world, but they still don’t have enough of it.

Without strength so many things would be impossible. We couldn’t lift anything, we wouldn’t be able to move, or do anything but strength doesn’t just mean physical, it can be emotional too. When something horrible happens like a loved one dying or moving away, or when your heart breaks, strength helps you survive the pain and the hurt that person left you.

Another important thing is don’t let anyone tell you that your not strong enough. Don’t give up, there’s nothing wrong with being yourself. Keep your grasp on life tight, and don’t weaken because if you do, you will crumble and there will be nothing but a million pieces to try to put back together which sometimes can be impossible.

Strength is important in life. If you don’t use it, you will fall hard, so hard that you’ll break. And if you break, there’s nothing left of you.

p/s: Something gotta give.

LMFAO; Till I Die.

Promise me, promise me to watch this video till the end. This video nearly killed me. From laughing my ass off.

Well at least she got to exercise.

Sometimes when you look back on a relationship, you realize it wasn't all you thought it was. Someone walked into your life, you fell in love, or did you? Maybe it was only a childish infatuation. Or maybe it was a brief moment of insanity.

If i am your mistake.

I hope i'm your favorite mistake.

People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain

The thing about life that I’ve learned is that you’re going to get hurt. You’re going to have emotional nights and cry yourself to sleep for hours. You’re going to suffer some kind of heartbreak, some kind of loss. But you will also have those moments where you heal. Those moments are the best. You feel like you smile for the first time again. You feel like you’re alive again. Life just kind of restarts.
I am running out of words to say to you, wondering why I’m wasting my time. Thinking back and wondering why, I’m such a fool for loving you.

Someday; This Will Happen.

Someday you’ll take a picture of your friends, and put it in a photo album with plans on never losing it.
Someday you’ll realize a flaw in something you trusted to be perfect.
Someday you’ll regret because we all do.
Someday you’ll lose some one you love, but not necessarily because of death.
Someday you’ll wish time moved a little slower, or maybe you already do.
Someday you’ll pray like you’ve never prayed before.
Someday you’ll want something so bad that you’d die for it, but you won’t get it.
Someday you won’t care that you aren’t rich, or you’ll find a friend who doesn’t care that you are. Someday you’ll recognize the change, either in a positive or negative way.
Someday you’ll look back on that picture and get butterflies because you miss it, and you know it.

Quarter-life Crisis; This Is Where We At.

They call it the “Quarter-life Crisis.” It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn’t know and may not like.

You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now. You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren’t exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you don’t recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren’t really cold, catty, mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.

You look at your job… and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you. Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn’t.

One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure. You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused.

Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can’t meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you know that you aren’t a bad person.

One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic.

You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself… and while winning the race would be great, right now you’d just like to be a contender! What you may not realize is that everyone reading this relates to it.

We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out.

p/s: Good luck to me and you.
“Boundaries don’t keep other people out, they fence you in. Life is messy, that’s how we’re made. So you can waste your life drawing lines, or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines that are way too dangerous to cross. Here’s what I know. If you’re willing to take a chance, the view from the other side is spectacular.”

p/s: Have i ever?

What's Love?; Here.

Love is like tug of war - it hurts so bad to hold on, but for some odd reason, you just can't seem to let go.

“I’ve been living my life, okay? I’ve been in good relationships and I’ve been in shitty ones. And I’ve moved a lot. And I’ve been happy, and I’ve been sad. And I’ve been lonely… and that is what I’ve been doing.”

Sometimes you have to test someone. Not because you don’t trust them, but to see how much they’ll sacrifice for you. And sometimes you have to let them go, not because you suddenly stopped loving them, but to see if they love you enough to come back.

Where you at my (E)cstacy?

What A Life; Before The New Year.

Me and and my boys are like the clique from Entourage.

We could hang out together doing nothing much but we could ended up having a lot of fun. That's what i like about us.

Yeap, i might sound a lil' bit gay but that's the way it is. I love my boys. 'Nuff said.

It was a great weekend to spend with my boys in Penang. So, basically everyone was kinda tight in budget. We planned to make it simple. The plan was, i'm the cook. They'll bring whatever junk food they can get their hand on from home. Easy enough and it was hella fun. Berkelah di Queensbay. Yeap, we don't do rempit stuff, or clubbing, or unhealthy shit. Just chillin' thingy. Oh, this is life.

Love the pantai! This is Queensbay.

Lepak to makan the great food i cooked for them. Bersembang like crazy. Many topics were covered in our chit-chat session. You name it, we got it; politics, sports, current events, business news, and bullshit. We got a lot of them.

So, we all looked undone. But hey, we're amazing. Haha!

We went for movies. Storm Warriors and Bodyguards & Assasins; chinese movie. I don't know. We don't fancy CGI that much. Plus we like rumble bumble thingy. No guns please. Only bare knuckle and swords. So the two movies suited us.

I slept during Storm Warriors. I dunno why, but the training-session-after-the-heroes-got-their-ass-beaten-at-first-and-they-train-to-get-revenge scene was kinda long. So i fell asleep.

Bodyguards & Assassins was kinda sad. But i like it. But it was sad. Everybody died. Should have known that.

Went back to the bay to hang out some out. Eat some more. Lepak some more. Doing nothing is the best. That's when life happens.

Makan-makan goes thru the night. And this picture made us look like addicts. Nice.

Lepak goes forever!

p/s: Oh, selepas pulang online gaming sampai 5 pagi. oh, what a life.
